PAUL VOIA-TIPEI

CLASSIC & JAZZ PIANO

Paul Voia-Tipei is a versatile pianist with a strong foundation in classical piano and improvisation. He earned his Bachelor of Music at the Herberger Institute for Design and Arts, Arizona State University. He also completed a Graduate Certificate, a Master of Music Degree and is currently completing a Doctorate in Musical Arts in Piano Performance at USC Thornton School of Music, under the instruction of world-renowned pianist and professor Daniel Pollack. During his academic journey, he studied with Ana Raita, Dana Borsan, Sorin Dogaru, Baruch Meir, Assay Zohar, Gary Graffman, Jeffrey Kahane, Kevin Fitz-Gerald, and Professor Daniel Pollack, who is his mentor.
 
Aside from his expertise in classical repertoire, Paul has expanded his musical horizons by studying jazz piano, both at ASU and USC. His teachers include Mike Kocour, Otmaro Ruiz and Russell Ferrante. Paul’s unique musical path rooted in the commitment of merging the world of the classical tradition and the art of improvisation are at the core of drives his music and artistic choices. He is an active performing artist who is consistently searching for ways to improve and make new connections, while giving back to the upcoming generations through teaching and mentoring.
