GUITAR
Kwang-il Lee is a gifted multi-stylistic bass and acoustic guitar player in Jazz-Fusion, Funk, Latin, Pop, RnB, Gospel, CCM. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Cornel School ofContemporary Music with his scholarship. He has studied with legendary musicians such asAbraham Laboriel, Otmaro Ruiz, Jimmy Branly, and Allen Hinds. Moreover, he has a passion forbecoming a jazz composer. He earned a Master of Music in Azusa Pacific University, where he studied with Dr. Phillip Shcakleton. He is known for his solid commitment, consistent delivery, and musicianship, while in any recording and live sessions his reliability, creativity, and effectiveness have made him an estimated session musician.
Kwang il has had the opportunity to appear on stage with top-rate musicians such as Tommy Walker, Ron Walter Jr., Nezza, Jimmy Cravity, Sophia Mojo, Anthony Alexander, Lydia Reńe. Kwang il’s performance synthesizes his Jazz-fusion background, upbringing, and diverse international musical experiences with precision and innovation. Besides Kwang-il’s performance, he has taught hundreds of guitarists of all levels, covering everything from rock and pop to jazz. Students are provided with plenty of teaching material. His students take away well-defined tasks, goals, and explanations; quickly building up a comprehensive body of work to practice.
